Love For BC | Destination BC

Covid-19 halted many marketing plans for organisations all over the world. Destination BC wanted to stay in touch with its followers and reassure them that this too shall pass.

CREATIVE SOLUTION

Destination BC premiered its first episode of Love For BC in April 2021, a first-ever video series designed for Instagram video in which locals tell their own stories, particularly about their pride of place and love for where they live. The series features a wide range of voices, ranging from an adventurer’s love of the local mountains to an Indigenous entrepreneur’s deep connection to the land.

Because sending film crews is not an option, a contact-free system is put in place that provides filming equipment as well as guidelines and best practises for capturing optimal content. The end result? Stories that are raw, heartfelt, and unpolished, combining video shot on their phone with existing imagery and footage.

RESULTS

The Love for BC series overachieved its set goal and was deemed one of the best solution the organization had. So much so it the series was extended for a second season and that is currently on going.
